Chocolate fans are delighted with the latest offering at B&M – despite its hefty price tag. The range of Cadbury fruit and nut tubes has reportedly been on sale in Australia for some time but is only just reaching UK shelves.

But while many shoppers were thrilled to see the new product his the shelves others were stunned to learn the price. Newfoodsuk pictured five different varieties of the product on its Instagram.

They are: Chocolate Mint & Berry bites; Milk Chocolate Coated Fruit & Nut; Milk Chocolate Coated Peanuts & Raspberry bites; Milk Chocolate Coated Peanuts and Milk Chocolate Coated Hazelnuts. They come in sizes ranging from 280g to 310g.

Announcing the treat it said: “New Cadbury Chocolate Coated goodies spotted at @bm_stores. How good do these look! B&M is the place to go at the moment!” But the sting in the tail was they retail at £6 a tube.

And chocolate fans had a mixed reaction. Emily said: “I bought the almond ones yesterday not realising they were £6, I nearly fainted not worth it for the size.” Perry’s Woodcraft added: “B&M need to remove the word Bargains from their name!!”

And Sneaker Lover said: “These are imported… Hence the ludicrous price!” Meanwhile Emilie was concerned on another level saying: “So much plastic.”

But Tasha was keen to get them asking another Instagram user: “Let me know if you see these… mother will love.” Hannah said: “Oh yum. Would smash those.” Alexandra said: “These look amazing.”

Our Rach agreed saying: “I cannot tell you how excited I am about those hazelnuts. This has made my day. No year. Actually life.”

And there were similar concerns on the newestproductsUK Instagram. Emily said: “All that plastic for 300g of chocolate nuts!!!That’s nuts!!! I thought Cadbury’s had started to move towards better packaging!”

And Sarah added: “£6!!! Absolutely not.”
