Jeremy Clarkson has faced another personal setback shortly after revealing his urgent heart surgery following a health scare. The 64-year-old Clarkson’s Farm star had previously detailed the “sudden deterioration” in his health, which led to serious medical intervention.

He struggled with basic tasks like walking up stairs after an ill-fated attempt at swimming. In a new blow, Jeremy took to Instagram to tell his followers that one of his three dogs is now battling a potentially fatal condition and is currently undergoing surgery.

His canine companion suffers from pyometra—the seriousness of the infection moved Jeremy to post: “The poor thing is under the knife as we speak. She has pyometra. S**t week.”

Fans on social media were quick to offer their sympathies, with numerous comments wishing for the dog’s prompt recovery. Amongst the messages, one fan encouraged, “Aw it’s always a massive worry but hopefully surgery is successful and she will make such a quick recovery, they bounce back much quicker than humans.”

Another expressed concern, saying, “I’m really sorry, I hope she recovers.”, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Meanwhile, a third person shared their hope for the pet’s swift recuperation: “Wishing your doggo a speedy recovery.”

Jeremy Clarkson, the renowned face of The Grand Tour, has faced a series of health scares recently, culminating in a dramatic hospital dash over concerns he was having a heart attack. Writing in his Sunday Times column, Clarkson recounted the harrowing experience of feeling “tightness in my chest” accompanied by a “clammy” sensation and “pins and needles in my left arm”.

His symptoms were severe enough to warrant an urgent trip to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital via ambulance, where thankfully, a heart attack was ruled out.

However, further examinations revealed that one of his arteries was completely blocked, while another was nearly so, indicating a high risk of a potential heart attack in the future without medical intervention. Clarkson underwent emergency surgery to have a stent inserted, clearing the blockage and ensuring blood could flow properly to his heart again.

Reflecting on the procedure, he described it as not particularly painful but rather “It wasn’t especially painful. Just odd,”, and recalled thinking, “Crikey, that was close.”

The TV personality has expressed concerns about his health before, telling the Guardian in April, “I don’t have long. I’ve probably only got what, 70,000 hours left, maybe? ” Beyond his heart, Clarkson is also troubled by the thought of dementia, having admitted to The Times that his “memory is shot” and acknowledging that his hearing loss significantly increases his chances of developing the condition.
