Luke Littler set another tournament record on Sunday afternoon after demolishing Damon Heta to reach the final of the Czech Darts Open.

The teenager has taken the PDC Tour by storm in his debut season and has reached his fourth European Tour final this week.

Littler progressed to the semi-finals with a stunning victory over compatriot Nathan Aspinall on Saturday with a tournament record average of 110.43.

Aspinall threw his darts to the floor and laughed before embracing Littler after their match.

But Littler managed to find another gear in his semi-final against Heta in epic fashion.

The 17-year-old averaged an incredible 116.51 to beat Heta 6-3 to reach the final.

Littler ended the match with a sensational 10-dart finish to secure the fifth-highest average in the history of the European Tour.

Littler now faces old for Michael van Gerwen for the Czech Darts Open title, who beat Alan Soutar 6-2 in the other semi-final.

The youngster’s turn of form this week comes after he reverted back to his old darts.

Littler tried out new darts recently with some fans convinced they were hampering his performance.

He suffered defeat to Rob Cross on his World Grand Prix debut last month, but appears to have caved into pleas from fans to change back to his old darts this week and it’s paid off so far.

“I’m happy with that,” Littler said after his win over Aspinall on Saturday.

“I know what I can throw with these darts and that’s why I didn’t play with the gold ones.

“There was load of talk about changing my darts so I’ve come here this weekend and made the decision to go back to what I know best, and they went well tonight.

“That’s why I’m not playing with the gold ones and it just goes to show tonight why I shouldn’t have changed.”

Littler was second in the PDC ProTour Order of Merit heading into this week’s Czech Darts Open.

Dave Chisnall is the only man ahead of Littler in the standings with Ryan Searle just behind the teenager.
