King Charles opened up about surf clubs just days after Prince Harry’s video was released.

The King and his wife, Queen Camilla, are currently visiting Australia on a royal tour.

Earlier today, King Charles, 75, marked the Bicentenary of the New South Wales Legislative Council at New South Wales Parliament House in Sydney.

Kellie Sloane, the Member for Vaucluse, took to social media to reveal her conversation with the British monarch.

She wrote: “His Majesty sends his best to the ‘amazing’ surf clubs at Bondi Beach.

“It was wonderful to have a brief chat with the King as he helped us celebrate the bicentenary of NSW Parliament. #bonding #nswpol #RoyalVisitAustralia”.

The King’s comment regarding surfing came just days after a video was released showing his son, Prince Harry, enjoying the sport in California.

The video was filmed at Kelly Slater’s “Surf Ranch” in central California.

The footage, shared on professional surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer’s Instagram account, showed the Duke of Sussex navigating a six-foot artificial wave.

The Surf Ranch, located over 100 miles from the ocean in Leemore, features a man-made wave that stretches for up to 2,300 feet.

It is renowned as the world’s finest artificial wave and holds the distinction of being the only one accredited by the World Surf League for elite-level competitions.

Van Bastolaer, renowned for his surfing in Tahiti, shared the video with a warm caption: “In Tahiti, we still call you Prince Harry.

“But at Surf Ranch, it’s my brother. It was an honour to have you surf with me and Kelly Slater”.

The duke has also struck up a strong bond with 11-time World Champion Kelly Slater.

The trio were spotted together at last year’s Formula 1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

This camaraderie may surprise some, given Slater’s previous criticism of Harry and Meghan following their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview.
