Daisy May Cooper has resumed filming for ‘Am I Being Unreasonable’ following the birth of her baby this summer. The talent behind ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ returned to set four months after welcoming her youngest son Benji in June.

Daisy, sharing her experience about Benji’s early arrival in June and their stint in neonatal intensive care, posted: “You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that I nearly had to phone the Samaritans but my god you are perfect.”

She showed immense gratitude towards the hospital staff with a heartfelt message on social media, saying: “I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond.”

Back on the job, Daisy joined actor Lenny Rush, who portrays her on-screen son, for a day of shooting. Accompanied on set by her partner Anthony Huggins, who took care of baby Benji while Daisy filmed, she jumped back into her role effortlessly. In one scene, Lenny’s character Ollie discovers his mother Nic inebriated on the sidewalk, having not made it home, reports the Mirror.

Dressed in a navy dress paired with blue boots and topped with a vibrant yellow patterned fur coat, Daisy’s portrayal of Nic was both disordered and bewildered as she rose from the ground and staggered off with Ollie. Whenever there was a break in shooting, Daisy would rush over to Anthony for a kiss and dote on their son, cosily swaddled in a striped blanket.

When Daisy joyfully introduced her new-born Benji to the world, she shared an endearing video on social media of her first moments meeting her son by his cot. The touching post was captioned: “What a bloody week… You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that I nearly had to phone the Samaritans but my god you are perfect

“I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond. You are all bloody superstars. I am so blessed. Welcome to the world little Benji, ya nutter. Born 06/06/24.”

Benji marks Daisy’s first child with partner Anthony Huggins. She is also a proud mum to two from her previous relationship with Will Weston, seven year old Pip and four year old Jack. The couple parted ways in 2021.

In other news, Daisy recently announced that her hit show Am I Being Unreasonable is set for a third series. Despite initially doubting a return after its initial six episodes, Daisy revealed on the podcast Firecrotch and Normcore: They Like To Watch that the prospect of a second series hadn’t crossed her mind until funding was mentioned.

“But then they said, ‘look, here’s some money’,” she recounted. “And I said ‘no, absolutely, I’ll just worry about the second series at the time’. Which is the worst. They’ve even commissioned a third series.”

Daisy May Cooper has opened up about the challenges of penning the new series, saying: “So it has been like pulling teeth. But I tell you it’s been really difficult this series because I think there were so many twists and turns in the first one, people will be expecting that in the second one. So it’s like, what do we do different?

“And that took us a while, we literally went through every avenue there possibly could be. But I think we’ve found the way now to go forward. And I think that it will be surprising but in a way that you’ve not seen.”
