A couple of weeks ago, we asked you where you can get Bristol’s best Sunday roast. As the days get colder and shorter, many of us will be seeking the comfort of such a tasty meal.

While cooking at home is always an option, an afternoon in a cosy pub sounds very appealing, especially if it serves some delicious food. And, in Bristol, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to Sunday roasts as results from our poll shows.

Having received more than a hundred votes, pubs and restaurants across the city got nominated to be serving the best roast in the city. But, as we continue our mission to find the crispiest roasties and the most tender meats, we are now putting the five that got the most mentions to a vote.

Probably unsurprisingly, the famous Bank Tavern in the city centre with a years-long waiting list made it to the shortlist. Also making it to the top five is The Malago, on North Street, as well as Bianchis on York Road.

While most renown for its steaks, Pasture on Portwall Lane in Redcliffe has also made it to the shortlist, together with The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer on King Street, in the city centre.
