England legend Terry Butcher is predicting more woe for under-pressure Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag this weekend.

In the latest round of the retired ace’s Premier League predictions, he’s backing Brentford to take a point from their visit to Old Trafford on Saturday.

Butch – who is now regularly hired as an after dinner speaker – is opting for a 1-1 draw when the side’s clash.

Anything other than a win for United is likely to put even more scrutiny on Ten Hag whose days at United could well be numbered.

He was almost sacked over the summer.

And reports this week claimed the Football Association escalated their appointment of Thomas Tuchel in order to ensure Manchester United didn’t hire the German before them.

In an ironic twist, the ex-England boss Gareth Southgate is now being linked with the United job – although he did recently indicate he was keen to take some time out of the game.

Elsewhere, the ex-Ipswich-legend, who won 77 caps for England, is tipping Liverpool to win the weekend’s stand-out clash.

The Reds face Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday, and Butcher thinks Arne Slot’s rejuvenated side will run out 2-0 winners.

If he’s right, it will maintain the Dutchman’s impressive start to life at Anfield which will come under the microscope in coming weeks as they navigate a tough run of fixtures.

It will see Liverpool face Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.

Meanwhile Butcher is also predicting wins for Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester, Villa, and Nottingham Forest.

In the weekend’s bottom of the table clash between Ipswich and Everton he’s predicting a win for the Tractor Boys. That result would heap pressure on Sean Dyche, the Everton manager.

In his final prediction, Butch thinks the clash between Newcastle and Brighton will end in a 1-1 stalemate.
