If Google Canada searches of the last three months are any indication, the top trending Halloween costumes this year are pop stars, fairy tale characters, and movie bad guys and girls.

Taylor Swift was the No. 1 top trending kid’s costume followed by clown, Harley Quinn, skeleton and Barbie during that time period.

For adults, the top trending costume of the past three months was Rapunzel followed by mermaid, Harley Quinn, Monster High (a doll franchise) and Toy Story.

Joker and Harley Quinn was the No. 1 top trending couple’s costume during the last three months with Bert and Ernie coming in second, Bonnie and Clyde placing third, Barbie and Ken at fourth place, and Mr and Mrs Smith in fifth position.

The top trending group costume for Halloween in Canada over the past 90 days was Alvin and the Chipmunks, followed by Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Inside Out (an animated film) and Scooby Doo.

And when it came to the Do-it-yourselfers, Tinkerbell, cat, killer clown, witch and Inside Out were revealed as the top trending DIY costumes over the past three months.

Placing No. 1 for the top trending Halloween makeup looks for the past three months was angel followed by scarecrow, vampire, deer and skeleton.

And the top trending horror movies of that time period were The Deliverance at No. 1 with Blink Twice, Cuckoo, Trap and Strange Darling rounding out positions two through five respectively.
