Neil Robertson is dreaming of becoming the first player to win all four of snooker’s BetVictor Home Nations series tournaments as he looks forward to playing at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.

The BetVictor Northern Ireland Open is the only event missing from Robertson’s set as he has already triumphed in Scotland in 2017, Wales in 2019 and England in both 2021 and 2024.

The event runs from October 20-27 and Roberson is looking forward to coming to the Waterfront Hall.

“It would be amazing to be the first player to win all four, that has been high on my list for a few years and it would be a magnificent achievement,” said Robertson.

“I came close a couple of years ago when I got to the semi-finals in Belfast then lost to Mark Allen. It’s definitely extra motivation this time.

“All the players enjoy going to Belfast, it is one of our best venues. I love the people, the crowds, the arena and the city. The atmosphere is electric, especially for the final weekend.”

The Australian has enjoyed a superb start to the season, regaining the form which made him the best player in the world for a spell during the 2021/22 season.

Last month in Brentwood, he captured the BetVictor English Open crown, beating Wu Yize 9-7 in the Final to land his 24th ranking title and first for over two years.

“It was great to win in Brentwood and end a long streak without a trophy,” said the 42-year-old.

“My goal at the start of the season was to get back into the top 16 in time for the Masters, I’m on track for that and want to keep up this momentum. I will prepare as well as I can for Belfast and I will be razor sharp for it.”
