Shocking images from Liam Payne’s alleged hotel room in Buenos Aires have surfaced in the Argentinian press after the tragic news of the singer’s death.

Former One Direction member Liam Payne has died at the age of 31, following a fall from a balcony at his hotel in Buenos Aires.

Photographs purportedly from inside the suite show a shattered television and residues of powder on a table.

Clarin, the Argentine daily, published additional photos presenting what appears to be evidence of drug use, including a partially burnt candle, aluminium foil scraps, and a soda can top with scorch marks.

Reports suggest that prior to his tragic plunge from an upper floor of the hotel, Payne was visiting Argentina’s capital, reports the Express.

The singer was staying at Hotel Cas Sur in the Palermo area when, as a main ambulance operator told TMZ: “At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel.”

They continued: “At 17.11 a same team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group.”

Regrettably, the injuries suffered from the fall were life-threatening: “Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation.”

There were also reports of the authorities being summoned to manage a situation involving “an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol”.

Sources revealed to the press that the shocking event took place just after 5pm local time, with reports earlier in the day of the celebrity acting “behaving erratically” in the hotel lobby.

Liam reportedly smashed his laptop in the lobby before he was taken back to his room.

Argentinian authorities have described his condition as sustaining “extremely serious injuries”, and Alberto Crescenti, who leads the emergency medical service, has confirmed to journalists that the artist fell into an inner patio.

In the wake of the incident, heartfelt tributes have been flooding in for Liam, who shot to worldwide fame in 2010 with band members Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.
