Former One Direction Star Liam Payne was lined up for a “huge” Netflix project ahead of his untimely death and had “so much to live for”, it has been claimed.
The 31-year-old singer who found fame at 16 after becoming a member of the globally successful X Factor band was found dead at his hotel in Buenos Aires after falling from the third-floor balcony of his room.
Dedicated and heartbroken fans have flocked to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel to lay candles and floral tributes after hearing the news of his untimely death.
His former bandmates – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik – are yet to post public tributes. However, Styles’s mum Anne Twist shared a solemn three-word statement on her Instagram, simply stating: “Just a boy…”

Discussing the tragic incident on GB News, showbiz reporter Sarah-Louise Robertson said the star has suffered an “appalling, horrific tragedy”, and seemed to be someone who had “so much to live for”.
Robertson paid tribute to Payne, stating: “He was blessed with with a seven-year-old beautiful boy Bear, which he had with his ex-partner Cheryl, and he had grown up in the spotlight.
“Liam always seemed the more down-to-earth one of the five band members. He was very family orientated, and very close to his family back home in the UK.”
Detailing Payne’s planned future projects, Robertson revealed that the Strip That Down singer was lined up for a brand new Netflix series, where he would take on the role of a judge, similar to that of One Direction creator Simon Cowell.

Robertson told GB News: “He was due to come back on television screens actually with Netflix, he was filming a new pop show called Building the Band, where he was going to be a judge same as what Simon Cowell was when they did The X Factor.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
“He was going to be filming that with Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger, and Nicole was one of the people who helped put One Direction together, so it was sort of like Liam was coming around full circle, shall we say.”
Discussing Payne’s death in Argentina, Robertson claimed that given the nature of which he passed away, a post-mortem investigation will be taking place to determine what happened.
She explained: “Police have said they were called to the hotel at local time just after 5:00 yesterday afternoon, to reports of a man who had fallen from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room. But unfortunately, his injuries weren’t sustainable and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There is going to be a post-mortem, and there’s an investigation being launched because other reports from eyewitnesses at the hotel sort of paint a picture of Liam’s final few hours on Earth, and his behaviour was described as erratic and aggressive.

“These are all alleged allegations, but it sort of paints a scene of a man who maybe wasn’t as happy as his last images on social media had portrayed in the lead-up to his death.”
Offering a further tribute to the star, Robertson noted that Payne’s death being in a foreign country seemingly on his own is “absolutely shocking”.
She added: “Liam was left in his hotel room and had been sort of conversing through social media with his fans, and seemed to be quite happy.
“He did like a short video talking about Halloween and what should he wear, so he seemed like he was looking forward, but you sort of wonder what had happened in those few hours between that last social media post and then the tragedy that’s unfolding before us now.”
