Jet2 has transferred all flights to a popular Italian destination over the UK half term due to “operational issues beyond our control”. In an update on Thursday, the flight and tour operator said its Naples flights would instead depart from and arrive at an airport some 80km away instead.

Jet2 said: “Due to operational issues beyond our control at Naples Airport, between 27 October and 3 November 2024 inclusive, all our Naples flights will be operated to and from Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport Just so you know, our booking and pre-departure systems, including Manage My Booking and any boarding passes, will still show flights at Naples Airport. Your flight number will stay the same.”

Jet2 offers flights to Naples from seven UK airports, including Birmingham, Edinburgh and London Stansted, and many people fly to the travel hub for onward holidays to popular locations such as Sorrento. It is currently unclear what the issues behind the transferred flights are.
