A fan told Liam Payne how he ‘saved’ his life in a heartbreaking moment captured on camera shortly before the singer’s tragic death. TikToker Leogrun99 shared the heartwarming interaction online, which has sparked thousands of emotional responses from fans following Liam’s passing.

The 31-year-old star was found dead on Wednesday after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires, officials confirmed. Liam had recently travelled to Argentina to watch his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan perform.

Although the exact timing of the videos is unclear, they are believed to be among Liam’s final interactions with fans, reports the Mirror. In one of the moving clips, a fan tells Liam: “You saved my life.”

Liam responds by pulling him in for a hug and posing for a photo showcasing their matching tattoos. In the clip, Liam also jokes and laughs with the fan, sharing the story behind another tattoo the fan admired.

The star was known for his multiple tattoos, including his family coat of arms and his X-Factor number in Roman numerals. The TikToker also shared additional clips from the same day.

One video shows Liam asking fans for help with his Spanish. A second captures the ‘Teardrops’ singer waving to a crowd.

“Are you okay, Liam?” a fan can be heard asking in one of the clips. “Yeah, I’m good,” he replied.

Responding to the posts many fans were moved by the footage. “He met a true fan right in the end,” one remarked.

Another encouraged people to check on the fan, stating: “So glad he was able to show him love.” A different fan wrote: “Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes??”

Authorities are investigating the tragic death. Liam is survived by his parents, his two sisters, and his son with ‘X Factor‘ judge and singer Cheryl.
