Bristol’s Alex Beresford has revealed he is “ready for this next chapter” after sharing some big news. The weather presenter told fans he felt “very blessed” on his 44th birthday today (Thursday, October 17), after announcing that he and wife Imogen McKay are expecting their first child together.
Reflecting on his life following the exciting announcement last month, Alex wrote: “44 years around the sun today. Feeling very blessed and ready for this next chapter. Life is precious.”
The excited dad-to-be shared the couple’s joyful update on Instagram last month, with a photo of Alex’s hands on Imogen’s baby bump. The sweet moment was accompanied by the caption: “The greatest gift. In awe of my beautiful wife growing Baby B. We can’t wait to meet you. x”.

‘Baby B’ will be Alex’ second child and the younger sibling to 14-year-old son Cruz from his previous marriage to Natalia Natkaniec. Following their split in 2019, Imogen and Alex coupled up in August 2020, with her utterly unaware of his TV appearances because she avoided looking him up online before meeting.
The pair met on a blind date, having been set up by a mutual friend. It went so well they became engaged two years later, on New Year’s Day. Alex proposed on a beach in Deia, Mallorca and in September 2022, they travelled back to Mallorca to get married on a romantic clifftop temple at the stunning Son Marroig estate.
Alex later told Hello! magazine: “When I turned to watch Imogen walking towards me, my heart skipped a beat. She looked amazing, so classically beautiful and exactly as I’d imagined.”
The weatherman added that his cousin described the ceremony as “like being in a movie” but noted that the most important part of their day was “marrying the woman he loves”. Imogen agreed she was overcome with emotion after seeing Alex at the altar.
