Dodge’s journey building Hemi-powered Durangos began in 2004, when the brand first launched the high-performance SUV equipped with that iconic V8 engine. In honour of this milestone’s 20th anniversary, the automaker’s been rolling out special editions of its already special Durango SRT Hellcat. The fourth and latest special for 2025, launched mid-October, is the Brass Monkey, offering a powerful combination of performance, design, and exclusive features.

The sun is setting on the mighty Hemi Durango, but, expectedly, Dodge won’t let it retire without a serious party. The 2025 Durango Silver Bullet and the Durango R/T 20th Anniversary Edition broke cover in August 2024. The former is a Hellcat-powered beast with a 710-hp supercharged V8, silver paint, and a red leather interior, priced at CDN$155,130. The R/T 20th Anniversary Edition features the legendary 360-hp 5.7L V8, bronze accents, and starts at CDN$83,580.

Then in September came the 2025 Durango Hellcat Hammerhead. This midsize three-row family SUV also features a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine capable of launching the truck from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds. The Hammerhead’s distinctive elements are its Night Moves blue exterior, Hammerhead Grey leather interior, and 20-inch wheels. Inside, it offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 19 speakers, and a sunroof. This one is priced at CDN$155,030.

The newest addition, the Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey, is the third special-edition Durango SRT Hellcat model for the 2025 lineup. Its standout exterior features include its Red Oxide exterior colour, complemented by dark bronze 20-by-10-inch Brass Monkey wheels and exterior badging, a fan-favourite accent colour in previous Dodge models. The visual aggression is further enhanced by a Satin Black painted hood, black Brembo six-piston brake system, and black exhaust tips.

Inside, the Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey will be delivered with Sepia Laguna leather SRT seats, silver SRT Hellcat logos embroidered on the seatbacks, dual silver-sepia accent stitching, and a leather and suede steering wheel. Further premium touches include a forged carbon-fibre instrument panel and a suede headliner. On the technology front, the 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

As expected of an SRT Hellcat, the Brass Monkey’s engine bay harbours the not-inconspicuous 710-hp supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi Hellcat V8 engine. This powerplant propels the SUV across the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, and helps it reach a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph). It also boasts a best-in-class towing capacity of 3,946 kg (8,700 lbs).

Available in the fourth quarter of 2024, the limited-edition Brass Monkey is priced at CDN$155,230 (that’s a $152,335 MSRP plus additional fees).
