Former Conservative MP Michael Brown has launched a scathing critique of Sir Keir Starmer’s immigration policy, claiming the Prime Minister “looks completely stupid” on the issue.
Speaking to GB News, Brown argued that Starmer “has not solved and is never going to solve the problem” with his current approach.
Brown, who joined the Brexit Party after being a Tory MP from 1979 to 1997, said: “The blunt truth is Keir Starmer has not solved and is never going to solve the problem if he pursues the particular policy that he is at the moment.
“He ironically is now on the wrong side of the EU. So he looks completely stupid.

“I always said on day one of the new Labour government under Keir Starmer, I don’t know why, they just don’t put a sign on the white cliffs of Dover saying everybody is welcome.
“Now there’s a Labour government. We’ve seen what’s been happening since the July 4 with the numbers of illegals coming in.

He added: “There is a case for saying, look, why don’t we, uh, advance the opportunities for them to work legally? Because what we don’t what we don’t know is how much illegal workings and slavers are going on.
“I mean, I don’t want that. Or the alternative is to do what Maloney does, and that is to get boats to ensure that they don’t set foot on their land in the first.”
Brown’s comments come as Italy implements a controversial new migrant processing deal with Albania, highlighting divergent approaches to immigration across Europe.
