Police are investigating after four men were filmed – stealing a cafe’s door handles. The Crafty Egg in Redfield, Bristol, was targeted hours after opening for the first time on October 12.

CCTV footage shows a group men who staff say took ‘ages removing the handles, despite having a power tool’.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident and have urged witnesses to come forward. The cafe, on Church Road, took to Facebook to share screenshots of the men thought responsible.

It said: “Unfortunately, after our soft launch last night in Church Road, some individuals came by and strangely, stole all the door handles from our venue. They didn’t cover their faces and took ages removing the handles, despite having a power tool.

“If anyone recognises them, please contact us or the police with their details. We can share the crime reference number. We’re confident they’ll be found using this and other footage from very nearby.”
