A teenage boy was caught carrying a huge machete after food was stolen from the McDonald’s in Brislington. Footage posted on social media shows a member of the public confronting the boy and taking his knife after the incident at the restaurant in Emery Road last Wednesday night (October 9).

Avon and Somerset Police were called shortly after 9.35pm after three males stole food from the McDonald’s. Officers arrived at the scene by 9.40pm but could not locate the suspects.

A member of the public caught one of the boys involved, took a machete off him and told staff at the restaurant about the bladed weapon. However, police said it was not used during the incident at the restaurant.

A video posted on Instagram by king_of_duch shows a boy and the large knife after the incident. His video reads: “Smashed up McDonald’s with his mates whilst I was sat in there so chased them down and caught this one.”

He takes the huge blade from the worried-looking teen, saying: “What’s going on with people? What’s your name? And you think it’s clever to carry things like this around?”
