Belfast’s Ivy restaurant is hiring a new general manager just over one month after it opened in the city.
The job listing, which was posted to LinkedIn over the weekend, describes prospective candidates as needing to have, “great front-of-house presence, be a leader and inspire your team.”
The Ivy is a national brand of restaurants that includes 40 locations, including the well-known original London site. Its Belfast location has been open for around a month.
The company says it’s looking for someone with an “up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the industry” who can “establish and maintain realistic budgets and identify ways to improve profitability.”
They want someone with previous experience managing large teams in a restaurant who can inspire and mentor their staff.
Perks of the job include a 100% discount at Ivy restaurants for the general manager and three guests, as well as free meals and drinks during shifts.

At the time of its opening in mid-September, the restaurant’s general manager was Julian Henry, a former manager at south Belfast venue Shu.
The Ivy has been contacted for comment.
At that time of the opening, Mr Henry said: “Northern Ireland has long been celebrated for its vibrant food scene, and we are thrilled to contribute to this legacy with a dining experience that blends The Ivy’s timeless elegance with the contemporary energy of Belfast.
““The warm response we’ve received since announcing our opening has been overwhelming, and we can’t wait to welcome guests through our doors. Our Belfast brasserie will embody the elegance and charm The Ivy is renowned for, infused with a modern twist that reflects the dynamic spirit of this wonderful city.”
The Belfast restaurant had a high-profile launch last month with a range of well-known Northern Irish figures invited, including Dame Mary Peters, Pamela Ballantine, Tim McGarry and Olympic gold medallist Hannah Scott.
