Pete Wicks might just waltz his way to the Strictly Come Dancing 2024 final, as suggested by body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton.

The 36-year-old TV personality, who recently dazzled with a George of the Jungle inspired Samba during BBC’s Movie Week, notched up a personal best of 26 points out of a possible 40. Despite this, bookies are tipping Pete and his dance partner Jowita Przystal for potential elimination this weekend.

However, Darren is optimistic about Pete’s chances, considering his strong performances to date. Chatting on behalf of Betfair Slots, he remarked: “Pete Wicks has a very good chance at making the final already. He’s definitely shown he’s capable of anything, and at this stage, that’s very promising.”

Stanton also highlighted the potent chemistry between Pete and Jowita: “He could potentially win. He and Jowita have a very strong connection and you can see that from the way they communicate is effortless through physical touches, eye contact and general synchronisation.”

Despite the competition heating up, Darren also hinted that EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and his dancing partner Michelle Tsiakkas might face elimination this weekend, reports Birmingham Live.

He further commented: “I believe Jamie and Michelle will be in trouble this week. While they seem strong as a pairing in terms of their level of rapport, which continues to build, the judges will be less and less forgiving of small technical faults.”

“We are seeing the judges become more critical and picky when it comes to their routines. Jamie’s levels of confidence are slipping. I’m not seeing what it takes to get through to the latter point of the competition, they’re not quite as well-connected as some of the other couples higher up the leaderboard.”
