Prince Harry has the “bit between his teeth” and is determined to come out victorious in his legal battle with The Sun, according to royal commentator Ingrid Seward.

Speaking on GB News, she spoke about a High Court judge growing frustrated at the case’s ongoing impasse.

Seward told Nana Akua that both sides have put forward compelling arguments, making the case a complicated one for the court.

“Harry has got the bit between his teeth”, she said.

“Harry just goes for it and he doesn’t let go. He is absolutely going for this court case where he feels his privacy has been disturbed.

“He’s really going for it because he says that he was hacked and Chelsy Davy had bugs on her car. He’s dropped that bit but he’s still going for The Sun for unlawful news gathering.

“The judge has got really fed up in this case because The Sun have a strong argument, Harry’s lawyers have a strong argument and they’re just tussling together.

“The judges have said, ‘look, this is like two huge forces fighting each other. No one is getting anywhere.

“‘The court case has to happen in January, you’ve all got to come and it’s got to be settled. Enough is enough’.”

Nana Akua waded in to criticise both parties, saying the case is coming at a hefty cost to the taxpayer.

“They can’t keep going backwards and forwards over this”, she said.

“It’s a waste of Harry’s money, a waste of the court’s time and waste of taxpayers’ money. Obviously the judge has to be set up, and we’re all chipping into that for some reason.”

A High Court judge said the court battle is a campaign between “obdurate but well-resourced armies”.

Mr Justice Fancourt set out his concerns in a preliminary ruling earlier this month.

He resolved disputes between the legal teams for the Duke of Sussex and News Group Newspapers (NGN) over amendments to Harry’s pleaded case.

The judge stated: “I have previously indicated to the parties that this individual claim, although it raises important issues, is starting to absorb more than an appropriate share of the court’s resources, contrary to the requirement in the overriding objective to deal with cases justly and at proportionate cost.”

Harry is among several individuals suing NGN (News Group Newspapers) over allegations of unlawful information gathering by journalists and private investigators working for the Sun and the now-defunct News of the World.
