Liam Gallagher has revealed why he and his brother Noel won’t be doing joint interviews ahead of the highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour.

The 52-year-old singer took to social media on Thursday to explain their decision, citing fears of intrusive questioning from the media.

“We don’t want to do interviews coz we’re scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship,” Liam wrote.

The statement comes just months after the Gallagher brothers announced their reunion tour, set to kick off in Summer 2025, following a long-standing feud that led to the band’s split in 2009.

Liam’s comments sparked further discussion with fans. When asked about the possibility of a joint interview, he bluntly replied, “can’t be arsed” and “they ain’t getting 1”.

The younger Gallagher also responded to a fan’s suggestion that Noel might avoid interviews because Liam is “funnier”, simply writing “RESPEK”.

Despite the reluctance to face the press together, Liam has previously expressed enthusiasm for the reunion, stating in September, “Nope it’s all done peace has prevailed he’s the man I can’t wait to be on stage with him blowing him kisses in between each song.”

The Oasis reunion tour, announced in August, has generated significant excitement among fans.

The band is set to perform a series of shows across the UK and Ireland, starting with two dates at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 4 and 5 July 2025. The tour will then move to Manchester’s Heaton Park for five nights, before continuing to other UK venues.

International dates have also been confirmed, including performances in North America, Australia, and Mexico.

Despite the brothers’ reluctance to engage with the media, Liam recently revealed on X that the band has already started rehearsals for the upcoming shows.

He also clapped back at those who had negative opinions about his singing voice and slammed on X: “To all those S**TC***S who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans.

“You’re just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid of I’ll gladly take them off your hands.

“We do not want the likes of you at our concerts next year anyway LF***ING.” (sic)

The Oasis reunion tour has faced controversy over ticket sales, with fans expressing outrage at inflated prices due to dynamic pricing.

The situation has prompted the UK government and competition watchdog to launch an investigation into Ticketmaster’s handling of the sales.

The Competition and Market Authority (CMA) said it was responding to concerns about high prices and the limited time given to fans to make purchasing decisions.

Ticketmaster has previously stated that it does not set concert prices, attributing this responsibility to event organisers.
