Meghan Markle’s best friend took to social media to make a rare comment about the Duchess of Sussex.
Kelly McKee Zajfen has been one of the duchess’ closest friends for many years and joined Meghan on the red carpet for the prestigious Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala over the weekend.
The pair smiled and posed as they walked down the red carpet hand-in-hand, with Meghan wearing a crimson gown, while Zajfen donned a lilac look.
Zajfen, a co-founder of the Alliance of Moms charity – which supports young parents in LA – later spoke candidly about her friendship with Meghan.

“Meg, your commitment to supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and community is truly inspiring. I’m so grateful to have you by my side.”
She also thanked the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for the care they’ve given to her daughter Lily, who has heart issues.
Our journey began when she was just two and a half, and from that day forward, we’ve experienced nothing but kindness, hope, care, and unmatched expertise,” Kelly wrote in her heartfelt caption.
“Our team at Children’s has given us strength during the most challenging moments, and their continued commitment to Lily’s care has made all the difference to our family.”

The Duchess of Sussex looked glamorous as she made a surprise appearance at the gala on Saturday night, stunning in a Carolina Herrera dress.
The former actress had previously worn the gown at a 2021 gala in New York City to celebrate the military on the eve of Veterans Day on November 11 (UK’s Armistice Day).
Earlier this year, Meghan joined her friend in posing in Alliance of Moms’ tops, with the message “Love Like a Mother” printed on them.
Accompanying them was Abigail Spencer, Meghan’s Suits co-star, and the three paired the T-shirts with blue jeans as they sat on the grass barefoot.

Zajfen wrote on Instagram in April: “When we speak about the people in our lives who lift us up when you need it with undeniable force of pure love I think of these two. You inspire me. You pick me up when I need it and you Love Like A Mother!”
Meghan was involved in the Alliance of Mom’s CommUNITY of Motherhood campaign in 2023 and supported her friend Zajfen when she lost her son George.
Zajfen also received some of Meghan’s still unreleased American Rivera Orchard jam.
She praised Meghan’s jam on Instagram with a picture of the jam in a gift basket surrounded by lemons and flowers.
She said: “Ohhhhh Just a taste of what’s to come!!! So proud of you M.”
