Inspector Steve Davey said: “Drugs are a blight on our communities, and those responsible for their supply prey on the most vulnerable in our society. Fanty’s possession of a machete is also evidence of the violent lengths many of those involved are willing to go to.

“We are committed to identifying those responsible and bringing them to justice and I’m pleased that the court has handed down a lengthy prison sentence. Reports from members of the public is crucial in helping us build a picture of what is happening in our communities and we would encourage anyone to report any suspicious activity to us.”
