Amanda Owen opened up about the struggles of her new series – Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Owen and Kids – as they work together on an incredible journey.
The latest series comes after their Channel 5 series, Our Yorkshire Farm, was axed in November 2022 after a successful four years.
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Owen and Kids see the family’s journey to breathe life back into a derelict neighbouring property they bought to plan for the family’s future.
The series sees Amanda, Clive and their nine children work with a team of local tradespeople to slowly bring their ambitious vision for the farmhouse – known locally as Anty John’s – to life.
They’ll tackle the changing seasons and challenging elements along the way, as well as get to grips with the nature of restoring a listed property in a remote location.
Cameras also follow Amanda as she digs deep into the farmhouse’s past and reveals the fascinating part its former owners played in local history.

The trailer – which dropped yesterday – sees the young children all grown up and getting stuck in to help with the renovation.
Amanda also makes a confession when she reveals how challenging the job is whilst battling a rainstorm and snow.
Drenched from head to toe, Amanda holds the camera to her face and says: “Conditions are just, they are just vile.”
Speaking about the series ahead of its release – Monday, October 14 – Amanda said: ”It is fantastic More4 have given us the opportunity to showcase what we do best, working as a team and battling the elements whilst trying to reinstate the farm next door to its former glory.

“It is no exaggeration to say that filming outdoors on an exposed hill end in Swaledale was at times a huge challenge for the Wise Owl film crew, but their dedication and enthusiasm have never waned.
“This new project has been a huge undertaking for the whole family and one we are excited to be able to share with the viewers at home.”
Despite their split back in June 2022, Amanda recently admitted she was “proud of where we have got to” and is able to work alongside one another.
Speaking to the Mirror, the farmer famously known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess continued: “Life throws you some funny curve balls, but it’s how you overcome them and move forward.

“It’s about building the blocks again.” However, she went on to admit: “But don’t get me wrong, we have our moments and our differences of opinion!”
When asked who was in charge of the project, Amanda told the publication: “That depends on who is up at the property.
“I don’t know if it is a blessing or a curse but there is no connectivity around there, you have to walk to get to it because the track up to it is so bad.”
