Police are appealing for information after the theft of an Amazon delivery bike in Belfast city centre.

Police responded to reports that a group of young males pushed a delivery person out of her bike, stole the vehicle and made off from Fisherwick Place.

Video shared on social media shows two masked males – one on the bike – making off in the direction of Great Victoria Street after taking the bike.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating following the report of a theft of a delivery bike in the Fisherwick Place area of Belfast on Sunday afternoon, October 6th.

“It was reported at around 3.55pm, a group of young males pushed a delivery person out of her bike, stole the vehicle and made off from the scene.

“The vehicle was located a short time later on fire in the Falls Park area. Two young males were arrested and were subsequently street bailed.”
