Third time’s definitely the charm for triple lottery winner Vincent Charlemagne.

The Thornhill retiree matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Aug. 9 Lotto Max draw to win $100,000, which marked his third major lottery win in just over 11 years.

In August of 2013, Charlemagne won more than $30 million with Lotto Max and in 2021 he claimed a $1 million Lotto Max Maxmillions prize.

“I always add ENCORE to my tickets,” he told OLG.

“I went to the store and used the ticket checker to see the outcome of my tickets. When I saw the ‘Big Winner’ message on the screen, I was so excited to discover I had won again. I first shared the news with my son. He couldn’t believe it either, but was quick to congratulate me.”

While Charlemagne isn’t sure what he’ll do with his latest winnings, he is “happy and comfortable,” he told OLG. “I definitely won’t be working anymore.”

His winning ticket was bought at Jane Variety & Gifts on Jane St. in North York.
