Nigel Farage has lashed out at the UK’s immigration system after footage emerged of an Albanian migrant burglar driving a Ferrari in London.
Speaking on GB News, Farage said, “We’re being made mugs of, aren’t we?”
The former UKIP leader was referring to Dorian Puka, a 28-year-old convicted burglar who has been deported twice but managed to re-enter the UK.
Farage criticised the inability to deport Puka due to a pending asylum claim.
Puka, who has been jailed and deported for burglaries twice, recently posted a 90-second video of himself driving a £300,000 Ferrari on social media.
The Home Office has admitted it is powerless to remove Puka again until his asylum claim has been fully heard. This case has reignited debates about the UK’s immigration policies, with some Tory MPs calling for reforms to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

Puka’s criminal history in the UK dates back to 2016 when he was jailed for nine months for attempted burglary. After deportation, he returned within a year and committed more burglaries in London.
He was caught, sentenced to three and a half years, and deported again in March 2020. Undeterred, Puka re-entered Britain in December 2020, travelling through several European countries.

He is currently on immigration bail with an electronic tag while awaiting a tribunal decision on his asylum claim.

Puka’s social media accounts showcase a lavish lifestyle. Besides the Ferrari video, he has posted images with other luxury cars, including a Porsche Cayenne and a Bentley Bentayga.
He even shared photos of a holiday at the Carbis Bay Hotel in Cornwall, displaying his electronic tag on the beach.
Albanian reports suggest Puka is staying in a £250,000 two-bed flat in Hounslow, west London. The source of his apparent wealth remains unknown.

A Home Office spokesman stated: “Foreign nationals who commit crimes should be in no doubt that the law will be enforced.”
The spokesperson added that 3,000 individuals with no right to remain in the UK have been returned since the new government took office.
This case follows another recent incident involving an Albanian criminal who won the right to stay in the UK under ECHR rules, prompting calls from Tory MPs to reform or quit the convention.
