A Co Antrim hotel has announced an investment of £2.5m in new guestrooms.

The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat in Templepatrick will add 17 new rooms in a courtyard, which will welcome guests from December 6.

The venue, owned by Galgorm Collection, already has 33 guestrooms.

Representatives including Antrim and Newtownabbey mayor Neil Kelly visited the hotel to view the progress of the expansion.

The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, bought by the Galgorm Collection five years ago, has to date received a £12m refurbishment, with the addition of a spa, treatment rooms and wedding ceremony space, refurbishment of the bar and restaurant and other upgrades.
