Heavy rain and thundery showers are expected for the rest of the day in Bristol, Tuesday, October 8. The Met Office weather map shows bands of heavy rain moving across the region as another wave of bad weather brought on by an ex-hurricane.
Bristol is set to be hit with a barrage of rain for the rest of the day as remnants of Hurricane Kirk, which blew over the Atlantic Ocean, is headed this way. While it is no longer classed as a hurricane, strong winds and heavy rain is still expected.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms which are forecast to wreak havoc across the country. Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to cause disruption until 10pm.
The Devon-based forecaster said: “Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected during Tuesday, with some localised disruption possible.” It added: “Showers and thunderstorms will spread from the southwest”.
