Ainsley Harriott has brutally compared Manchester United to ‘overcooked scrambled eggs’ as Erik ten Hag fights to keep his job at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have endured a shambolic Premier League campaign so far, picking up just eight points from seven matches.
They are already 10 points behind Liverpool at the top of the table, with pressure mounting on Ten Hag as a result.
The 54-year-old was retained by the hierarchy back in the summer after guiding his team to a shock 2-1 win over Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup.

Yet with United failing to kick on, it’s possible the Dutchman will be relieved of his duties.
Harriott, who is believed to be an Arsenal suppoter, has now stuck the knife into the fallen giants.
He has compared United to ‘overcooked scramble eggs’ – while also saying the team needs to be ‘remade’.
“I think it would be overcooked scrambled eggs,” he told BBC Sport.

“A bit too heavy, not moving. It needs to be…remade.”
United backed Ten Hag with the huge signings of the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee back in the summer.
But the trio, as well as Manuel Ugarte and Noussair Mazraoui, have been unable to help the Red Devils stop the rut.
Ten Hag has jetted off for a holiday believing his position at Old Trafford is safe.

Yet widespread reports have indicated that Thomas Tuchel is the frontrunner to take over if the former Ajax boss is relieved of his duties.
Tuchel is a serial winner, having won silverware with the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund throughout his career.
The 51-year-old is a free agent after leaving Bayern following a turbulent 18-month stint in charge of the German giants.
Yet Tuchel isn’t the only name being linked, with Thomas Frank and Gareth Southgate emerging as potential options as well.

Meanwhile, Gary Neville opened up on Ten Hag after United’s goalless draw with Villa on Sunday.
He says the result has brought the Dutchman some ‘time’ but stopped short of saying whether or not he’d keep his job.
“It’s a small step forward,” Neville told Sky Sports. “Before the game, if you offered any Man Utd fan, player or coach a draw, then they would have snapped your hand off.
“That’s where, at the end of the game when you see Erik ten Hag’s interview, there’s an element of relief because it keeps the wolves at bay for a couple of weeks at least. It gives them a little bit more time.

“I don’t think anybody who thought a major incident would happen after the game thought it would happen with a draw.
“They always thought it would need to be a difficult day or difficult defeat like it was last week against Tottenham. I think it buys Ten Hag a little bit of time.
“It’s Manchester United’s worst start in Premier League history so we can’t celebrate.
“When we’re thinking it’s a decent point when you draw at Villa, it tells you how far Villa have come – but it also tells you how low the bar is for United in this moment in time.”
