A ‘massive’ Cadbury Dairy Milk bar is currently on sale for a price that undercuts the major supermarkets. The 850g Cadbury Dairy Milk gift bar has been reduced to £8.49 on Amazon (£1 per 100g), down from its original price of £9.99.

Purchasing directly from Cadbury would cost you £13.50, although it does come with a Happy Birthday message. It’s also cheaper than buying the 360g bar from Tesco (£4.50, £1.25 per 100g or £4 on Clubcard, £1.11 per 100g), or the 180g bars from Sainsbury’s (£2.50, £1.39 per 100g) and Asda (£2, £1.11 per 100g).

Additionally, Amazon Prime members can have the bar delivered to their home without having to leave the house. The chocolate bar is Cadbury’s flagship brand, made with 100% sustainable cocoa. I ordered this the last time it was on offer to see if it was really that big and, most importantly, worth it.

While I’ll spare you a review – it’s Cadbury Dairy Milk, so it’s obviously delicious – the thing was nearly as big as my head. Even I, someone with a sweet tooth so strong the sugar in Tesco’s baking aisle starts running when it sees me, couldn’t finish it in one session. In fact, it took a week. The bar is absolutely huge.

Its size makes it an ideal gift, or you could keep it for continuous snacking. Customers are extremely pleased with the size and quality of the chocolate bar, which has received a rating of 4.8 out of 26,055 reviews – 22,667 of which were five stars.

One person commented: “Lovely thick dairy milk chocolate. Makes a great present for those that love chocolate. Decent value for money considering the novelty of it.”

Another said: “This was on offer so a great price, well packaged and arrived a lot earlier than expected. Use by date was about 6 months so plenty of time to enjoy.”

A third added: “Got this for my husband for Valentines day, the only thing he said would make it better for him would have been if they were separated into smaller packets inside, I thought the huge packet was great! ! “.

The majority of complaints were due to faulty packaging. One customer stated: “Good product but the box was damaged and the bar is snapped. Bought this for a Christmas present and I’ve had to bin the outer box which is disappointing as it made it look more like a gift.”

You can pick up the box on Amazon. Alternatively, Amazon offers a huge 2kg box of Celebrations for £21.99. Also, they have a 2kg box of Quality Street for £18.19, reduced from £25.99, which works out at 91p per 100g.

This is cheaper than Tesco’s price of £3.50 (£1.59 per 100g) or £3 with a Clubcard (£1.36 per 100g). Another option is the Kinder Happy Moments box for £18.28, featuring a selection of Kinder chocolates.
