Poltergeist is getting an Airbnb-style remake.

The infamous house from the 1982 horror film is being transformed into an Airbnb that can be rented by fans obsessed with the supernatural blockbuster.

The Simi Valley, Calif., home was built in 1979 and recently sold for nearly $1.3 million, a Zillow listing confirmed, per the New York Post.

The new investor from Los Gatos, Calif., is said to want to turn the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home into an Airbnb that will replicate the movie’s set.

It won’t be ready for Halloween, however, as the new owner “wants to make it perfect and not rush things,” TMZ reported.

The Poltergeist house at 4267 Roxbury St. hit the market back in August for the first time in 45 years.

The home features a light-filled living room with large windows, a formal dining room and kitchen with modern appliances.

There are four bedrooms upstairs including a primary suite with vaulted ceilings, an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet.

The 16,000-sq.-ft. backyard includes a large in-ground pool and jacuzzi.

“Yes, this is the home where much of the first movie of the series was filmed; but ‘This house is clean.’ Seriously, it is!” the Zillow listing noted prior to the sale.

The house is “ideal for cooling off on hot California days or hosting epic pool parties,” the listing said. “Plus, it’s much safer than building a portal to another dimension!”

The address was used as the primary filming location for the horror flick directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg.

The movie follows the Freeling family as they encounter scary paranormal activity in their suburban home and centres around the youngest child, Carol Anne, who is abducted by malevolent spirits through a portal in the closet.

Poltergeist earned more than $121 million at the worldwide box office and was nominated for three Academy Awards.
