Flexible workspace building Urban HQ in Belfast city centre has been sold to new owners in a multi-million pound deal.

Urban HQ in Eagle Star House on Upper Queen Street has been sold by Magell Limited to entrepreneurs Justin Quirk and Conall Humston.

The pair said they were “dedicated to building on the success of the brand while supporting the continuation of innovative programmes and services”.

Mr Quirk is a property developer who owns five-star development Wilton House Serviced Apartments.

And Mr Humston is an established hospitality entrepreneur who recently invested in pizza chain The Pizza Co, which has now rebranded its six stores around Belfast.

Mr Quirk said: “We are thrilled to be taking the reins at Urban HQ. Our goal is to continue to enhance the Urban HQ member experience and create even more opportunities for collaboration and growth.”

Jamie McCoubrey, Urban HQ managing director, added: “We are delighted to welcome both Justin and Conall as the new owners of Urban HQ .

“We have been really encouraged by how well received Urban HQ has been since opening in 2020, with our team on the ground offering the very best service and our building offering a truly design-led approach.”

Mr Humston added: “We are looking forward to reinforcing Urban HQ’s position as the place to be for businesses who want to occupy the best quality space on flexible terms.”

In 2019, then-owner Magell announced a £5m upgrade of Eagle Star House, and said it would feel more like a hotel than an office when the refurbishment was complete.
