Nov. 9 marks the anniversary of Germans marching in the streets in 1939 against the Jews.
I don’t know if you are a history buff, but that didn’t turn out well.
Perhaps you will say that is over the top.
But the hate we see on the streets and on our campuses is so obviously not a protest against the Israeli government that it is an insult to the intelligence of observant people to say it is.
Hamas has promised to perpetrate Oct. 7 of last year again and again and again until the goal is achieved.
The goal is the total eradication of the Jews. That is what ‘from the river to the sea’ means.
Yet right here in Canada, we see people on the street with the flags of terrorist groups repeating that phrase.
They don’t call for the release of the innocent hostages Hamas captured? The ones — if any — who are still alive?
Doesn’t that show you this is straight-out hatred of the Jews?
Israel can’t stop because Hamas and Iran will not.
The leader of a major union, Fred Hahn of CUPE, publicly celebrated the attacks of Oct. 7 the day after they happened.
Think about that.
Hatred of Jews is so easily done today in Canada that Hahn does it in public and he’s still there.
Hate is tolerated and the only result of that will be more emboldened hate.
Apparently, it is OK to march with terrorist flags and call for the destruction of a race so long as there’s no bouncy castle. Bring out an inflatable and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will invoke the Emergencies Act.
Trudeau was so exorcised by what amounted to noise and parking violations in Ottawa that he took away almost all of your rights. He froze people’s bank accounts.
He said, “But when the protests turn to hatred, or to acts of harassment — particularly against fellow Canadians — there’s a line that’s crossed.”
The line has been crossed. Again and again.
What is he going to do?
Nothing.
All political leadership has failed to do anything more than mere lip service.
As for the police — they claim they do not step in during a march so as not to inflame the event into violence and that they have made arrests later.
I am at the point where I don’t think that is enough.
If someone needs to be arrested, arrest them and make sure we see video of a handcuffed individual being loaded into a paddy wagon.
Lean in.

Someone films a gathering and a march by white supremacists.
Oh, look, there is Jerry Agar in the march.
If that happened — and it wouldn’t, but stay with me — am I still a talk show host and newspaper columnist?
For purposes of accuracy, I asked a manager and the answer was obvious.
No, and I shouldn’t be.
Fred Hahn should be fired no matter how hard that is to do.
Companies should fire employees who spread hate. Create a safer work environment.
Trudeau is a lost cause but mayors and premiers should step up, pushing for laws to be upheld and giving support to police to do so.
If you agree, call your elected representatives.
Otherwise, this will not end well.
