Sam Prendergast will start his second match in five days for Emerging Ireland as they face Australian side Western Force in Bloemfontein on Sunday.
Coach Simon Easterby has made 11 changes to his starting XV, with the Leinster out-half one of three survivors from the win over the Pumas on Wednesday.
And the young team face a step up in class against the Super Rugby side who feature Wallaby locks Darcy Swain and Sam Carter as well as English international Nic Dolly who starts at hooker and will be hoping to catch Joe Schmidt’s eye as he qualifies for Australia later this year.
Emerging Ireland tour captain Alex Kendellen also retains his place on the openside flank, with Ulster’s Cormac Izuchukwu switching from the back-row to the second-row while Munster’s Seán O’Brien shifts from centre to left wing.
Leinster hooker Gus McCarthy, who started both of their URC games before travelling to South Africa, is promoted to the No 2 shirt and joins Alex Usanov and Ronan Foxe in the front-row, with Conor O’Tighearnaigh joining Izuchukwu in the second-row.
Alex Soroka and Sean Jansen are picked alongside Kendellen in the back-row, with Ethan Coghlan selected to partner Prendergast after coming off the bench against the Pumas.
Jude Postlethwaite and Hugh Cooney are named in midfield, with Andrew Osborne at full-back and Chay Mullins and O’Brien on the wings.
Danny Sheahan, Scott Wilson and Jack Aungier provide front-row cover, with Evan O’Connell and Sean Edogbo backing up the back five. Cormac Foley, Charlie Tector and Hugh Gavin are the replacement backs.
