All three Ulster sides in the Women’s EYHL make the journey down south in search of their first wins of the season on Saturday.
Ards and Pegasus played out a 2-2 draw at The Dub last weekend whilst Elks suffered a 2-0 defeat against the reigning champions Loreto.
Denman Shield champions Pegasus travel to Dublin to take on Pembroke Wanderers in their first away game of the campaign.
Last week the Belfast club relied on the new bonus point system to get past Ards following a 2-2 draw in normal time.
Goals from Katie McKee and Alex Speers twice gave Pegasus the lead but were not enough to seal the victory without run-ins.
They now face a Pembroke Wanderers side who got off to a disappointing start with a 4-0 loss against Railway Union.
Elsewhere Ulster Elks make the journey to Cork as they face newly promoted UCC.
The students had the daunting task of facing last season’s invincibles Loreto on the opening day and will now be hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat.
Joel Cathcart’s side have had a summer of change with a number of new players in the squad and will be hoping they can gel quickly to kickstart their season.
Their opponents also got off to a losing start as they were beaten 3-0 by Catholic Institute on matchday one.
The final EYHL game sees Ards travel to face Old Alexandra as they look for their first win since being promoted back to the division.
In the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League, there is an early season top of the table clash as Queen’s University host Belfast Harlequins.
The two sides both got their seasons up and running with 7-0 wins on the opening day and will be expecting to be in the top spots come April.
The game sees Quins forward Alyssa Jebb return to face her old side as she helped fire Queen’s to the title with 19 goals last season.
At the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre high-flying Portadown travel to face Ballymoney.
The young side are the early pacesetters having won both their opening games 5-0 against Lurgan and Armagh.
Amidst their ranks is the division’s top goalscorer Evie Girvan who has already netted three times this campaign whilst Emily Adamson is also looking to score for a third week running.
As for Ballymoney, they are looking to get their first points of the season following losses against Mossley and Lisnagarvey so far.
There is one other game taking place in the division on Saturday with Mossley travelling to Lisnagarvey with both teams having won one and lost one of their opening two games so far.
