Manchester United’s hierarchy have reportedly set a date next week to discuss Erik ten Hag’s future following their poor start to the campaign.
United have gone four games without a win in all competitions after their dramatic 3-3 draw with Porto on Thursday.
Harry Maguire popped up with a late equaliser to prevent United suffering another defeat.
However, the match did little to take the pressure off Ten Hag with the Dutchman facing repeated questions over his future.

Ten Hag has maintained confidence that the board continue to back him after he was given a contract extension in the summer.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe held meetings with Thomas Tuchel while also expressing an interest in Mauricio Pochettino, but ultimately decided to stick with Ten Hag.
But United risk going into the international break in 14th position and just three points above the relegation zone if they fail to get a positive result against Aston Villa on Sunday.
According to The Athletic, Ten Hag’s future may well be decided next week when the club’s board meet in London on Tuesday.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sir Dave Brailsford, Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada and Joel Glazer will all supposedly be present at the crunch meeting.
It’s reported that the executives have ‘aimed to meet once a month’ and it’s not clear whether the club’s poor start to the season will be discussed.
However, Ratcliffe refused to confirm this week whether he still had faith in Ten Hag being able to turn things around.
The United co-owner also revealed that the final decision doesn’t come down to him.

He said: “I like Erik.
“I think he’s a very good coach but at the end of the day it’s not my call, it’s the management team that’s running Manchester United that have to decide how we best run the team in many different respects.
“But that team that’s running Manchester United has only been together since June or July.

“They weren’t there in January, February, March or April – [CEO] Omar [Berrada], [Sporting Director] Dan Ashworth – they only arrived in July.
“They’ve only been there…you can count it in weeks almost – they’ve not been there a long time so they need to take stock and make some sensible decisions.
“Our objective is very clear – we want to take Manchester United back to where it should be, and it’s not there yet, obviously – that’s very clear.”
