The cause of death of Alice Webb, who died following a non-surgical BBL procedure, requires further investigation, a coroner has said. The mum-of-five from Bristol, is said to have undergone the procedure at a clinic in Gloucester.
Gloucestershire coroner Roland Wooderson stated that a post-mortem examination is currently underway, with the next inquest date yet to be set, the BBC reports. The inquest into her death was opened and adjourned at Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court on Thursday, October 3, with the medical cause of death still unconfirmed.
According to the BBC, Mr Wooderson revealed that hospital medics were unable to resuscitate Alice after the procedure, as confirmed by Ms Webb’s mother. Two individuals have been arrested and released on bail under suspicion of manslaughter.
One is TV personality ‘Lip King’ Jordan James Parke, 32, who runs the clinic where Alice reportedly fell ill. Despite referring to himself as ‘The Plastic Surgery Advocate’ on social media, Mr Parke is not a qualified surgeon.
He is known for his appearance on the US reality TV series Botched in 2015.
