Saturday night saw a Strictly Come Dancing contestant pleading for medical advice, a report has claimed. Spanish dancer Gorka Márquez, certainly set the crowd alight while foxtrotting with TV personality Dr Punam Krishan last weekend.

Yet, he was reportedly all too distracted with his exceptionally snug PVC trousers, even claiming they were ‘tighter than the nails in a submarine’. According to The Mirror, things escalated so much, that Gorka allegedly pleaded for some expert advice before hitting the stage.

And who better to ask than his trusty doctor dancing partner, Dr Krishan? Speaking on the BBC Two Show on Thursday, Dr Krishan explained: “We were just about to go on for the announcement of the couples and he’s like ‘What do I put on, do I put on powder, do I put on cream, do I put on sudo cream?’ I was like not now Gorka, not now, just dance!”

Gorka also compared himself to Ross Geller, played by David Schwimmer in the hit TV show, Friends. In one episode, he wears a pair of black leather trousers on a date – but it turns out to be an utter nightmare.

The 34-year-old added: “I had talc, and then between your legs the chaffing. A lot of that, I was a bit like the guy in Friends.” Despite this trouser fiasco, the pair managed to score 18 points for their dance to Shania Twain’s ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman!’.

Tomorrow, they’ll be given another opportunity to impress the judges in Movie Week. It’s understood that the pair will be performing a traditional Bollywood dance to the soundtrack of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Meanwhile, TOWIE star Pete Wicks will dance the Samba to the George of the Jungle theme tune, while Comedian Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell will jive to the Wayne’s World Theme.
