Jake Paul has been brutally called ‘weak’ by MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz ahead of his contentious fight with Mike Tyson next month.

The 27-year-old has sparked controversy by choosing to do battle with Tyson, who is 31 years his senior.

The former YouTuber insists beating his rival would be a huge scalp, despite many feeling he could have taken on far tougher opponents.

Tyson, after all, hasn’t taken part in a professional boxing match since his infamous defeat to Kevin McBride all the way back in 2005.

Abdelaziz has now launched a stinging attack on Paul, saying the boxing star is ‘weak’ for fighting a man old enough to be his father.

And he’s even accused the 27-year-old of ‘preying’ on someone older, too.

“Let’s be real, honestly, if it was me, I’d never want to fight somebody who is older than me,” he told Kevin Iole.

“But he [Paul] is weak. He wants to prey on somebody older.

“But, I never doubt Mike Tyson. He trains with my friend Rafael Cordeiro, they’re having a great camp, they keep pushing it.

“And guess what, I’m all the way for Mike Tyson.”

Paul has been a divisive figure in boxing ever since his first professional fight, which took place against AnEsonGib in January 2020.

Yet with 10 wins from 11 bouts so far, he’s likely to represent a tough test for Tyson.

Paul is aware of the criticism he’s received from numerous individuals.

The likes of Tony Bellew and Eddie Hearn have stuck the knife into the 27-year-old for his decision to fight Tyson.

So too has KSI, who said that Paul would be going up against an ‘OAP’ in his experienced opponent.

Speaking in August, however, the boxing star insisted criticism of the clash with ‘disrespectful’ to Tyson.

“I wanna fight Mike Tyson, that’s legendary.

“It’s an honour to be in the ring with him, and if he wants the fight to be a pro fight then, ‘Okay, let’s do it’.”
