A teenager from Bristol was among four males that were arrested following a high-speed police chase. It took place in Cheltenham last night (Wednesday, October 2) and a Skoda involved hit speeds of 70mph in a 30mph zone.

A police officer in an unmarked car spotted the vehicle near Shurdington at around 8.50pm. The Skoda sped away and a pursuit ensued.

It eventually stopped and the passengers fled the scene and officers put on a containment of the area with support from police dogs and the drone unit. Four males who were believed to be occupants of the car were subsequently arrested.

Police seized a large amount of cash from the Skoda and from one of those arrested. It is believed to be linked to the supply of drugs.

Gloucestershire Police said: “Three males from Cheltenham, aged 16, 20 and 22, and an 18-year-old from Bristol remain in police custody. Between them they have been arrested on suspicion of the supply of class B drugs, handling/receiving stolen goods and theft of a vehicle.”
