Michael Schumacher could make a second public appearance in the foreseeable future after he attended his daughter’s wedding over the weekend.
Gina-Maria Schumacher tied the knot with long-term boyfriend Iain Bethke, with the pair saying ‘I do’ at a special ceremony in Spain.
Schumacher was reportedly in attendance, with guests at the wedding forced to hand over their mobile phones to ensure no private pictures leaked out.
It marks the first time the stricken F1 icon has been seen in public since he sustained life-changing injuries following a skiing accident in the French Alps back in 2013.

And widespread reports say he is potentially set to make a second public appearance, too.
Mick Schumacher, his son, has seemingly got engaged to girlfriend Laila Hasanovic.
Laila shared a picture of herself wearing a glamorous ring over the weekend, fuelling talk that they’d agreed to take their relationship to the next level, though no official confirmation has yet arrived.
Given Schumacher reportedly attended Gina-Maria’s own wedding, it’s therefore possible that he’ll do the same for his son as well.
Mick, tragically, was with his father when he crashed in France back in December 2011.
Schumacher veered off course and hit his head on a rock, with the F1 icon then placed into a medically induced coma.
Though he was later allowed to return home, the Formula One legend has lived his life away from the spotlight in the years since.
Nobody, barring a handful of people, knows what his condition is today.

Mick spoke about his father last year and emotionally admitted he wishes they could discuss F1 together.
“I think dad and me, we would understand each other now in a different way now,” he said.
“Simply because we speak a similar language, the language of motorsport.
“I would give up everything just for that.”

In September 2021, Schumacher’s wife, Corinna, said that the F1 icon was ‘different’ but ‘here’.
“Michael is here. Different, but he’s here, and that gives us strength, I find,” she said in a Netflix documentary.
“He still shows me how strong he is every day.
“We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable. And to simply make him feel our family, our bond.
“And no matter what, I will do everything I can. We all will. We’re trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. And we are getting on with our lives.
“‘Private is private’, as he always said. It’s very important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible.
“Michael always protected us, and now we are protecting Michael.”
