LeBron James is hopeful of playing alongside his son Bronny in a ‘couple’ of matches for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
Bronny’s NBA career has been mapped out for several years having impressed as a collegiate athlete.
LeBron made it clear that his biggest drive pushing him in the latter stages of his career was the prospect of one day playing in the same team as his son in the NBA.
The Lakers made that dream a realistic reality earlier this summer when they selected Bronny with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

“(I’m) just super proud of him to be able to get to this point.
“He’s a man, and he’s ready to go.”
There’s an expectation around the league that Bronny will suit up for the Lakers early in the season to create history alongside his father.
LeBron is happy to wait for the chance to step onto the court with his son for the Lakers, but is hopeful of getting a handful of chances.
“If we get a couple of opportunities on the floor throughout the course of the season, obviously that’s going to be amazing,” LeBron added.
