In a little under six weeks, the PWHL will begin its on-ice preparations for Year 2 and, for periods of those camps, various teams will come together in both Toronto and Montreal to conduct mini-camps involving training sessions and pre-season scrimmages.

Team training camps will open Nov. 12, but then the Montreal Victoire will host the Boston Fleet and the Ottawa Charge at Verdun Auditorium from Nov. 19-22 while the Toronto Sceptres host the Minnesota Frost and the New York Sirens at the Ford Performance Centre over that same period for mini-camps.

Unfortunately for the PWHL fanbase, those scrimmages — three in each market with teams taking part in two each — will be closed to the public and there will not be livestreamed or broadcast.

The focus will be on development and, as such, will not meet the high standards the league set for its product in Year 1.

Live statistics and final scores, not that they will mean anything, will be available online at the PWHL site so that fans will be able to follow along from a distance.

The games themselves will occur mid-afternoon.

The league also announced the six teams have a deadline of Oct. 10 to submit their training camp rosters which can included up to 32 players.

Those rosters will be made public shortly after the Oct. 10 deadline.
