A Chinese lifestyle brand will open a store in Bristol in ten days. Miniso, which stocks well-known brands, furniture and some household goods, has confirmed on social media that it will open at Cabot Circus on Friday, October 11, at 12pm.
Miniso is known for stocking branded goods from the likes of Disney, Pokémon, Sanrio (which includes Hello Kitty) and blind boxes. The store is especially popular with younger people.
Miniso will welcome the public into the Cabot Circus store on October 11 after signage was spotted in September. It will be the first shop from the brand to be located in the southwest.
To celebrate the opening of the store, the firm’s mascot PenPen will be in attendance and live drummers on hand to provide music to groove to. The first 300 shoppers, who spend at least £5, will receive an exclusive goody bag which is worth £25.
Posting on Instagram, Miniso said: “Join us for the grand opening and discover an incredible array of MINISO treasures—from adorable plushies and must-have beauty products to mouth watering snacks, charming Sanrio items and enchanting Disney collectibles.
“Come and be a part of our grand opening celebration where you can meet our beloved mascot PenPen and groove to the rhythm of our live drummers! Plus, the first 300 shoppers will receive an exclusive goody bag worth £25! This is an offer you won’t want to miss!”
It is the latest brand to come to Cabot Circus after plans to “evolve the shopping experience” was established earlier this year. One of the aims of the shopping centre is to attract brands which would become a regional first.
Cabot Circus recently saw the loss of House of Fraser, as it welcomes in Marks & Spencer next year. Honi Poke, a new healthy eating restaurant, opened at Cabot Circus in September.
