The American-style chain, specialising in buttermilk-marinated chicken, will be giving the first 100 guests in line to its new restaurant a complimentary serving of chicken tenders.

The eatery will be part of the 9,800 sq. ft of space within the £20m expansion of Sprucefield Retail Park, which also includes new retail units and a hotel.

Ben Blore, head of operations at Slim Chickens, expressed his enthusiasm about the brand’s NI expansion.

“I want to extend my gratitude to our amazing team in Belfast and the wider openings team. Their dedication allows us to provide fresh, cooked-to-order chicken, ensuring our guests always have the best possible experience.”

The opening of the newest establishment has also created 50 jobs in the area.

The Lisburn store marks Slim Chickens’ 54th location. And it said it plans to open another five in Northern Ireland, with locations to be announced over the rest of the year.

It already has stores at Boucher Crescent in south Belfast and at Victoria Square in the city centre.

Slim Chickens sells chicken tenders, sandwiches, loaded fries and crispy wings.

The menu also boasts a selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and sides such as fried pickles.

Televised sports are reportedly shown all day at the chain,
