A man in his 70s has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Co Kilkenny.
The incident took place on the R448 at Smithstown, Mullinavat, at around 9.30am on Monday.
The driver of the car was fatally injured.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, including those with dashcam or other footage from the area at the time.
The local coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination is due to be held.
The road has reopened after being closed for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
