Two suspects have been identified while a new image of a third suspect has been released after two police officers were allegedly assaulted at a demonstration.
Toronto Police said officers were at a demonstration on Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. in the Yonge-Front Sts. area, where protesters were demonstrating at an event at Meridian Hall.
Police said protesters tried to gain entry into the event but were stopped by officers. One woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Police say the protesters allegedly became confrontational with police who were working to control the crowd. One suspect allegedly spat at an officer and another suspect is accused of striking an officer.
The protesters then travelled to a police station in the Parliament-Front Sts. area. The demonstrators allegedly continued to be combative and two suspects were arrested and accused of assaulting officers, while a third suspect allegedly spat at an officer.
Police said that Deijaumar Clarke, 32, and Ghadir Mokahal, 25, both of Toronto, are wanted for assaulting a police officer.
Another suspect had not been identified, but police released a photo in hopes of tracking them down.
