Itโs another busy day in the Sports Direct Premiership as Linfield look to extend their lead in the standings when they head to Coleraine, with surprise packages Ballymena United on the road to Portadown trying to lock down second place.
Follow all the action on our LIVE blog below!
Matthew Fitzpatrick has had an excellent game and he sets up his second goal of the afternoon, teeing up Kyle McClean for the close range finish!
Things go from bad to worse for Carrick as they are reduced to ten men, Joe Crowe sent off for a straight red card for a challenge on Swifts captain Cahal McGinty.
Kealan Dillon with an absolute stunner from long-range as he hammers a wonderful shot into the top corner that leaves Ross Glendinning with no chance!
John McGovern, with their first shot of the game, won’t have much easier finishes than this one as he taps in from close range to give the home side the lead against the run of play!
This won’t be one that Rory Brown will want to watch back any time soon as Kirk Millar swings the ball into the middle and the goalkeeper can’t handle the in-swinger, flapping at it and ultimately palming into his own net.
We await to see if it will be a Millar goal or a Brown own goal, either way it’s a horror show from the stopper.
So close to a second Linfield goal as a Euan East cross falls to Charlie Allen, who rifles a shot towards goal that is cleared off the line superbly!
Some nice play down the right wing by the Blues as they counter off a slack pass by Coleraine and when the ball is cut back into the middle by Matthew Fitzpatrick, there is Joel Cooper to slam the ball into the net for his fifth of the season!
Jordan Forsythe the first man to truly test Nathan Gartside in the Loughgall net as he meets Jarlath O’Rourke’s free-kick and heads it towards goal but the stopper is equal to it.
The first real opportunity of the game and it comes from the team that have been struggling thus far as Andrew Hoey manages to beat several defenders before arrowing a shot low for the bottom corner that just evades the net.
Given the red-hot form he is in, you would expect Ben Kennedy to bury this chance every day of the week as Donal Rocks drops a cross right onto his head but instead of it rippling the net, it clears the crossbar. Ballymena arguably should be ahead.
Glentoran 0-0 Glenavon
Two opportunities to kick us off today as at the Showgrounds, a long ball from the back by Chris Johns allows Joel Cooper to get a shot away but it is tame and straight at Rory Brown, while at The Oval it’s a long-range effort from Davy McDaid that stings the palms of Daniel Gyollai but is held onto by the Hungarian.
